The paintings capture the ephemeral atmosphere of fictional basement spaces and the lingering echoes of an afterparty from the early to late morning hours. The figures find themselves in an indeterminate state of isolation and magical realism. Fragmentary scenes depict fleeting moments and the uncertainty of a space shrouded in fog generated by a hazer.

In my current work, I focus on figurative painting. I do not perceive the human body as a fixed identity, but as a mutable space where emotions, memory, time, and relationships with the surrounding world converge. In my paintings, the figure gradually transforms—from a specific character into a situation, a landscape of emotions, and an open field of meanings.

The paintings are created by assembling photographs, digital studies, and various visual fragments that form a new reality. I am interested in the moment when the viewer feels that they know the scene intimately, even though it never existed.

I do not perceive painting as an illustration of ideas or as a means of explaining them. For me, it is a way of exploring the world and an encounter between the image and the viewer. I do not seek unambiguous meanings or answers—I am interested in the openness, uncertainty, and poetry of human existence.”
