Resilience doesn’t mean always being strong or handling everything without emotion. It is a form of resistance that isn’t always visible, but it changes the way we perceive the world. It manifests as an intimate and steadfast gesture. It is a personal current against indifference, oversimplification, and the pressure to perform—one that can sweep others along and become a collective river.
The fourth installment of the long-term project Point of View once again presents an exhibition and a classroom in one. Artistic approaches here open up space for slowing down and paying attention, and for shared experience. They allow us to remain with uncertainty, to think and feel at the same time, and to find strength in fragility. We understand resilience primarily as a relational quality: toward ourselves, toward others, and toward the surrounding world. Here, art becomes not only a means of exploring resilience but also a test of resilience in and of itself.
The selected works are not often politically engaged in ways that would speak directly to the streets. Their engagement takes place on the level of thought, sensitivity, and attention to processes and social relationships. They strive to transform the way we perceive the world and show that, in order to have an active place in the world, it may not be the loudest voice that matters, but rather the ability to remain perceptive even in a world that is complex, fast-paced, and often uncomfortable.
As with previous exhibitions, the theme of psychological resilience stems from the ideas of young people visiting DOX.
