The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague is an independent interdisciplinary platform for contemporary Czech and international art, architecture and design. Exhibitions of leading Czech and international artists are presented in a unique multifunctional space of 6000 m², which ranks among the world's most interesting architectural projects of the last ten years. The diverse range of events includes exhibitions, guided tours, lectures, panel discussions, performances and family and educational programmes.
On the roof of the DOX Contemporary Art Center, you can see a unique architectural intervention inspired by the elegant shapes of airships from the early 20th century. The 42-meter-long steel-and-wood structure, called Gulliver, will become a new meeting point for contemporary art and literature. The airship is accessible with a valid DOX Center ticket during gallery hours. The unique experience is enhanced by a stylish café with a terrace, a bookstore and a design shop DOX by Qubus awarded in the Czech Grand Design Awards, where you can find top Czech and international design studios. DOX also houses the Archive of Fine Arts, which makes hundreds of documents on contemporary Czech and Slovak art available through the unique abART information system.
