The exhibition project Refining Vision is dedicated to the legacy of painter, draftsman, illustrator, and educator Boris Jirků, whose artistic and pedagogical work has profoundly shaped several generations of artists. The project was created through a collaboration between the Altán Klamovka Gallery and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The exhibition also serves as a reminder of Boris Jirků’s ability to view drawing not merely as a preparatory technique, but as a fundamental tool for thinking, cognition, and visual communication.
