The exhibitionThe North Wind Carries Colors presents a cross-section of contemporary art across various media—from drawings and prints to objects, new technologies, and multimedia forms. The selected artists are connected by their ties to northern Bohemia, whether through their studies, professional backgrounds, or personal connections to the Liberec and Jablonec regions. The exhibition features both established artists with a prominent position on the Czech art scene and emerging artists whose work brings new impulses and perspectives. A common thread in their work is their relationship to the region, which manifests in various ways—from landscape and space to personal experience and everyday life. The project is a loose continuation of the 2023 exhibition Northern Space. Space for Dialogue from 2023 and builds on the program of the Art Week Liberec festival, whose long-term goal is to support the art scene in the region.

 
The North Wind Carries Colors presents contemporary art as a space of flow—of ideas, experiences, and visual languages that are constantly transforming and re-establishing themselves in the landscape of northern Bohemia. The curatorial concept is based on the metaphor of the north wind as an invisible yet defining force.
