Cultural Centre CO.LABS is an open, creative and independent platform that actively ensures the support, development and growth of the arts sector with an emphasis on engagement, pushing the boundaries of quality and the boundaries of artistic types and genres. It was established in October 2021 as a response to the closed system of established repertory theatres in Brno. CO.LABS very actively emphasizes the support of professional Czech and foreign artists from the performing arts and other artistic fields through various support programmes.

CO.LABS' own dramaturgy is focused on authorial projects in the field of new drama, physical theatre, borderline theatre forms, visual arts and music. CO.LABS also functions as a platform for independent entities and individuals without a permanent space to present their work. Through various artistic activities (debates, discussions, outputs from residencies in the form of work-in-progress, workshops for the general public, workshops on specific projects, podcasts, etc.), it continuously connects the community of artists and creators with the community of visitors.
 
The CO.LABS Independent Art Zone is made up of a group of creative individuals who strive to create a dynamic and creative environment with an open shared space where the intermingling of art types, genres, forms and opinions is a must. It seeks to unite the professional independent theatre sphere in Brno.
