A Patchwork Tour of Moravian Manchester in Five Stops. A guided walking tour with Jana Kaštánková, an architect and urban planner, through the area surrounding the former Mosilana and Vlněna factories.

At each stop, we’ll explore the history of Brno’s development from a historical perspective, the conditions that led to the emergence of the textile industry, and its impact on the city’s growth (1. city patchwork), explore the types of housing and amenities that emerged thanks to the textile industry (2. house patchwork), we’ll also explore parts of a former textile factory (3. patchwork of textile factories), engage our sense of touch during a demonstration of various types of fabrics (4. patchwork of textiles), and finally discover both well-known and lesser-known residents of Brno from that era (5. patchwork of people).
