We invite you to an exhibition featuring the most prestigious Czech award for visual artists—the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. Along with this, we will launch a unique series of film screenings at the temporary Octopus Cinema.

Exhibition of the Jindřich Chalupecký Award Winners 2026

For the third time, PLATO will host an exhibition showcasing one of the most important Czech awards in the field of contemporary art, alongside the National Gallery in Prague and the Moravian Gallery in Brno. The award winners Yuliya Bokhan, Tereza Kalousová, and Kolektiv Prádelna will present their work in a joint exhibition. The opening will also feature a guided tour at 7 PM.

Sophie Jung: Florilegium

International guest of the 2026 Jindřich Chalupecký Award. The first solo institutional exhibition in the Czech Republic by Sophie Jung, a Swiss multimedia artist and performer based in London and Basel.

Octopus Cinema

Is the experience of watching a film in a gallery different from that in a movie theater? In our pop-up cinema, we screen films that do not make it into regular theatrical distribution. The Octopus Cinema program will change a total of 6 times. Curators: Jakub Adamec, Daniela Dostálková, Linda Dostálková, Edith Jeřábková, Marek Pokorný.
