The exhibition Timeline combines the monumental drawing series František Kupka L'Homme et la Terre (Man and Earth, 1904-1907) with the works of a group of international artists. The exhibition, conceptualized by French curator Nicolas Bourriaud together with Barbara Lagié, further develops the cross-cultural dialogue between French geographer Élisé Reclus and Kupka in the early 20th century, linking theory with image. Kupka's drawings are set within a global lineage of contemporary artistic approaches and open up reflections on changing social structures and ecological thinking. The exhibition is accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue with texts by the curators and an essay by art historian Markéta Theinhardt.
