Our Art Workshop will draw inspiration from the monumental textile work by Polish-Romani artist Małgorzata Mirga-Tas, which depicts traditions associated with the month of December, as well as from the work of Czech artist Sráč Sam.

The exhibition opens up new ways of seeing textiles as a medium of memory, women’s work, care, identity and resistance, as well as the experience of minorities—subjects that both artists approach in different ways.

Together, we will explore how ordinary fabrics, scarves and scraps of clothing can be pieced together to create a winter landscape filled with stories, traditions and human connection. In the studio, we will create our own textile pictures. We will cut, layer and combine patterns, telling stories through fabrics that carry memories and the warmth of home.
