The lecture will focus on three exceptionally rare marble busts from the collections of the Sychrov State Castle. These include a bust of Leopoldina Liebieg, wife of Johann Liebieg the Younger (builder of the Liebieg Palace), by the Viennese sculptor Viktor Tilgner, and sculptural portraits of Franz Liebieg the Elder and his wife.

The art historian reveals new findings regarding the attribution of authorship and the description of the depicted figures, and suggests a broad spectrum of connections that linked the sculptors and their Liberec patrons within the Central European artistic context.
