The timeless quality of black-and-white photography allows David Mackovič to bring subtle order to the scattered geometry of the world and the chaos of old objects that have crossed his path. He is capable of photographing everything, but he does not photograph everything. His attention is physical—as if he were looking not with his eyes, but with his position. David’s photos are not afraid to capture anything and stand by it. Even if it were a sideboard. The exhibition How to Climb a Tree with One Finger is a photographic guide to escaping the matrix.
