Imprint, the second exhibition of the 2026 exhibition series, brings together projects that explore the body as a space - personal, social and public - from different perspectives. From the intimate landscapes of female experience to the mechanisms shaping the form of the city to the digital environments transforming our perceptions of intimacy and attraction, a field of questions about power, control and the freedom to make decisions is opened up.

The individual installations thematize how social structures, economic pressures and technological change are inscribed in the body and the environment, while creating a space for sharing experiences, critical reflection and imagining alternative forms of coexistence. The exhibition thus offers a multilayered view of the relationship between the individual*woman and the system, in which the personal becomes political and the private is inextricably linked to the public. The exhibited projects will be open to the public at co.labs until approximately the end of August.

The Tragedy of the Woman: Landscape of the Body (foyer)

The exhibition opens the Tragedy of the Woman project and the activities of the association of the same name, which focuses on a complex reflection on female identity, sexuality and bodily integrity in contemporary society. The group exhibition will present the work of fifteen contemporary women artists, including students and graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, the Faculty of Fine Arts of the BUT and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava, as well as guest artists from Slovakia.

The authors view the female body as a space of experience - a variable and layered landscape in which key moments of a woman's life are inscribed. This opens up a cross-section of themes that touch almost every woman in different ways: from growing up, discovering sexuality and forming one's own identity, through the transformations of the body, to the experience of motherhood and finding one's place in social structures. This creates a space for dialogue between the personal stories of the authors and the experiences shared by almost every woman.

The City at Stake >> Who/What, Without Whom/Who, How? And For How Much? (gallery/staircase)

The art installation elaborates on the mechanisms of urban planning and highlights the critical points of Brno's new master plan, which are often lost in the complicated administration. In fact, Brno has long struggled with a problematic situation in the field of spatial development. After decades of delays, a new master plan was finally created in 2025, but even this does not guarantee a balance between the needs of the population and market pressures. In reality, it often turns out that the voice of developers and capital prevails over the public interest - this is evidenced, for example, by the cases related to the demolition of Prior, the controversial plan for a cable car to Kampus, the construction of a new arena or the renovation of the stadium behind Lužánky.

The project thematizes the issues through a desk game. This interactive element simulates the existing land development system. The players*find themselves in the role of actors*who decide the future of the city, and encounter the same obstacles as the actual participants in the process. At the same time, they experience an imbalance between civic interests and economic gain.

The Illusion of an Attraction (co.labs_bar)

Eroticism is reflected in all platforms in today's world - from advertising to the internet environment. Thus, the establishment of intimate interpersonal relationships and the sexual act itself is receding, replaced by the artificial world of not only pornography but also the new social platforms that are emerging today.

Social networks such as Onlyfans and Twitter contain freely available erotic content. They encourage self-gratification as this method is quick and yields the same result. Self-stimulation tools can provide the same, sometimes replacing human contact. The project conveys a media cross-section as a combination of digitality and craft.
