Grounded in a lingering contemplation of place and human experience, Maedeh Hoseini pursues the notion of art and life merging into architecture. As a diasporic subject questioning the concepts of home and belonging, and as a scenographer drawing from her background, Hoseini is drawn to the narratives that both we and places—as bodies—carry. Through an engagement with the shifting, sensory relationships between body, place, and memory, she positions herself as a transient subject. Initiating an exploration of abandoned sites and their mnemonic realms, the work delves into the transitional nature of displacement.

The artwork by the graduate student Maedeh Hoseini is part of the exhibition Star System / FFA Diploma Projects 2026,  which will launch on June 24, 2026, at 4 PM at House of the Lords of Kunštát (Dominikánská 9, Brno).
